Used Beloit 165" (4.19m) 4-roll calender

Calender built 1991.
Designed for polishing woodfree coated and newsprint.
Speed - 2112f/m (650Mpm)).
Calender can operate with one s.c. soft nip one-sided soft calender without additional roll heating.

Another possibility is as a 3 nip (four roll) machine calender with (2) installed CC rolls (S-roll).

Calender has (2) hydraulic units for bottom and top C.C. roll and bearing lubrication which runs partly from paper machine lube system and from the calender lube system.

Rolls:
- C.C. roll with ceramic cover Ceracal....roll dia. 25" (762mm).
- Drive roll with soft cover Top Tec HC....roll dia. 29" (734mm).
- Intermediate roll cast iron.....roll dia. 16" (420mm).
- CC roll cast iron....roll dia. 26" (660mm).

Line pressure - single nip....100kN/M.
Triple nip bottom...150kN/M.
Triple nip top....100kN/M.
Loading bottom nip - hydraulic.
Loading top nip - pneumatic.
