| Fourdrinier fine paper machine 450 TPD , 202'', 6lb. Bond to 80lb. offset paper Used Beloit paper machine, 1965, a 226" fourdrinier-type fine paper machine with a 202" trim at the reel and producing 16lb. Bond to 80lb. offset paper at 2400FPM and 400 - 450tons per day. UPGRADES: headbox replaced in 1988, press replaced in 1989, low vacuum system in 1980s, deculator vacuum system, shaking secondary screen, fourdrinier forming board in 1990s. DRIVE: Lineshaft with Beloit differentials, linkbelt PIVs, turbine with 400psi steam, and a few electric helper drives. WET END APPROACH: Primary and secondary deculators with a mix of 12" cast iron and nylon cones, 3rd & 4th stage nylon, two (2) model 50 Bird Centriscreens, shaking secondary screen, two (2) fan pumps (one to primary cleaners and one to headbox through a Beloit StreamFlow valve, electric/hydraulic basis weight valve with stuff box. HEADBOX: Beloit Concept III with 5 vanes and attenuator, approximately 220" pond, designed for 17,300GPM at 0.625% consistency. FOURDRINIER: 226" wide x 152' long fabric, 7 blade forming board, five (5) 4-blade boxes, five (5) 3-blade foil boxes, AES low vacuum system, two (2) low vacuum boxes (one with ceramic blades), one (1) DonFlow box with ceramic blades, 1 flat box with ceramic blade cover, three (3) flat boxes with KT covers, flooded nip shower, knockoff shower with internal brush, needle shower, frames on tension roll and 2-position roll replaced in 1990s, double doctor on couch roll (Note: fourdrinier originally came with deckle boards, shake, dandy, and suction box oscillation - all have beed removed or disabled). PRESS: Twinver design without the second, frames and layout redone in 1989, 1st press - frames 500PLI, roll 375PLI, 3rd press - 600PLI, Uhle boxes have zirconium oxide covers, 36" diameter 3rd press bottom CC roll replaced in 1985, (2) 18.5" diameter suction rolls added in 1983 (one replaced in 2000), rubber covered suction pickup rolls, 40" diameter 2-chambered suction rolls (poly-covered, drilled and grooved), double doctor on center roll, DRYERS: originally (46) 60" diameter dryer cans in main dryer with four (4) sections, rated for 75PSI steam, added 2 dryer cans in 1st section in 1989 and converted to unirun with two (2) blowboxes, air knife and felt driven, twenty (20) 60" diameter dryer cans in after dryer with two (2) sections, Johnson rotary syphons and joints (2 have Beloit joints and stationary syphons), Midland Ross designed hood, steam sytem, and air system. CALENDER: Open side 5-roll calender (capable of holding 7) with 32" diameter king roll, bottom three (3) rolls are drilled. REEL: 202" wide with 36" diameter drums, replaceable wear slides. Includes stock prep and some finishing equipment. |
