What is RSS?
RSS (Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) is a method of receiving constantly updated links to your chosen websites such as WOTOL.
Once you have set up a connection on WOTOL you will receive a list of all machines currently shown on a certain page or section.

RSS solves a problem for people who regularly use WOTOL. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest posted machines from WOTOL.

What do I need to do to read an RSS Feed?
The main method is to download a program called a 'News Reader'. You can then set up this program to  receive RSS information from whatever websites you wish that offer it including WOTOL of course.
The Firefox browser (Windows, Mac OSX, Linux) will let you do this, and will alert you to an RSS-enabled page by displaying an icon in the bottom-right corner of the window . Apple's Safari browser (Mac OSX  only) offers an even fuller service, and other browsers will probably follow.


How can I get this News Reader program?

There are several News Reader programs available for all platforms, many  of which are free. Some popular feed readers include Amphetadesk (Windows, Linux, Mac), FeedReader (Windows), and NewsGator (Windows – integrates with Outlook). There are also a number of web-based feed readers available. My Yahoo, Bloglines, and Google Reader are popular web-based feed readers.

Then what do I do with my Feed Reader? 
Once you have your Feed Reader, it is a matter adding the WOTOL pages that interest you. You can also do it with other sites that syndicate content and adding their RSS feed to the list of feeds your  Feed Reader checks. Many sites display a small icon
