Silicone Oil (stabilized)

Silicone oils of the TURMSILON K/WR series are liquid polydimethylsiloxanes with transparent appearance. They differ from the organic compounds as regards their physical as well as chemical properties. The letters WR represent the high temperature stabilized silicones. This causes the slightly brownish colour of the silicones. Because of this stabilization the high temperature range will be extended up to approx. 250°C (480°F) over a long period. The excellent behaviour at low temperatures of the silicones will not be influenced by this.

Different types of silicone oils series TURMSILON K are available, which differ from their viscosity and the corresponding properties.

Quality Features:
Low pourpoint, optimum viscosity-/temperature behaviour, high thermal and low temperature stability, high compressibility, low vapour pressure, large surface activity. Beside of these physical properties silicones have an excellent compatibility with most of the sealing materials.

Operative ranges:
TURMSILON K 350 WR is especially used as thermal oil and as lubricating oil. It is recommended for the use in packaging machines as well as for the textile finishing industry at the material combinations synthetic/metal and synthetic/synthetic.
