This Shimadzu UV-1601 combines optical performance with an unprecedented choice of standalone or personal computer (PC) control operations. Resolution of less than 2nm, spectral range from 190 to 1100nm, wide dynamic range and an Ultra Small beam of 1mm combined with double beam monitoring optics, ease of operations via logical keystrokes and interactive dialog via the large LCD display or via the Windows based control and data collection software, makes this the instrument of choice by many in its price range. Standard software includes photometric, Spectrum, Quantitative, Kinetics and Multi component analysis as well as data processing features. Additional optional program packs like DNA/Protein, Multi wavelength time course analysis, color measuring etc. expand the instrument applications to many other fields of spectrophotometric analysis.
