APV PASTEURIZATION SYSTEM FOR FISH BROTH 1,000 LITRES/HOUR
EUROPE (Western and Northern)
REF-0 APV PASTEURIZATION SYSTEM FOR FISH BROTH 1,000 LITRES/HOUR
Automatic system designed for the pasteurization of 1,000 litres/hour of strained fish broth for subsequent packaging.
Manufacturer: APV
Year: 2002
OPERATION DESCRIPTION:
- Inlet temperature: 20 °C
- Process temperature: 105 °C
- Outlet temperature for packaging: 35 °C
The whole process consists of different stages that can be programmed using the control panel:
1. Sterilization: carried out by the circulation of hot water at a temperature of 115-120 °C for 30 minutes.
2. Production with water: cooling water flows inside the circuit until the process temperature that will be applied to the product is reached.
3. Production: the unprocessed product is fed into the regulation tank and then the production phase takes place in the circuit.
4. Cleaning-in-place: the installation is cleaned in place by recirculating detergents poured manually into the regulation tank and then heated by the heating section of the system.
SYSTEM COMPONENTS:
A) Closed regulation tank. 200-litre capacity. Made of AISI 304 stainless steel. With three sensors for maximum, medium and minimum levels.
B) APV centrifugal pump, model W+50/8. Designed for 1,000 l/h. With 3 kW motor. All parts in contact with the product are made of AISI 316 stainless steel.
C) Gaulin homogenizer, model 15-3.0 B. Single stage.
Designed for 1,000 l/h, max. temperature 50 °C, homogenisation pressure 200 bar.
11 kW/3x380 V/50 Hz electric motor.
Made of stainless steel, including some AISI 316 parts.
The product leaves the plate heat exchanger at around 50-55 °C and flows into the homogeniser, where it is subjected to a pressure of 180-200 bar, and then returns to the exchanger to complete the heat treatment.
D) APV plate heat exchanger, model H17 RKS-10/4 EPDM.
Designed to heat 1,000 l/h of liquid from 20 °C to 110 °C, and then cool it to 35 °C.
Working pressure 10 bar, design temperature 130 °C.
AISI 316 stainless steel plates with EPDM gaskets and AISI 304 frame.
E) Heat maintenance system.
Designed to keep the product at pasteurisation temperature for 3 minutes. It consists of sections of polished AISI 316 stainless steel tubing welded together and mounted on a stainless steel frame. It can be shortened to reduce the maintenance time to 1.5 minutes.
F) Hot water production system composed of the following elements:
- SWEP brazed plate heat exchanger, model B10x30H. For water-steam exchange.
- APV centrifugal pump, model W+10/8. With 0.75 kW motor.
- Steam line to feed the water-steam heat exchanger.
- Interconnections of the hot water system (tank, purge valve, other valves).
G) General interconnections of the pasteurisation system consisting of various valves, stainless steel pipes, inspection hole for visual control, etc.
H) Automatic control panel housing PLC for automatized control of the plant and programming of the different stages, display screen, temperature recorder, starters for all motors, and other necessary electrical and pneumatic elements.
