C) Tolerances:
In addition to tolerances from sheet manufacturing (width and length variation) and printing (if applicable),
die-cutting introduces the following tolerances, based on optimal sheet quality.
Strong warping, curvature, or non-square cuts will increase tolerances, especially if they vary within a job.
Best results, including for skip-feed jobs, are achieved with vertical flute running direction.
Tolerance values:
In running direction: ±0.25 mm (vertical flute), ±0.50 mm (horizontal flute)
Side tolerance (crosswise): ±0.75 mm (vertical flute), ±0.75 mm (horizontal flute)
Conditions for tolerances to apply:
Machine and tooling manufactured according to BOBST-ABC
Machine maintenance per BOBST documentation
Processing of corrugated board per VDW standard
For laminated material, sheets may overhang max. 3 mm
For printed sheets, format must be 50% of maximum format
Consistent machine operation is required; first and last ten sheets (with all blanks) are excluded from measurement
