Sales Order: Set up for Quebec, Canadian Gas Standards. All manual valves CGA approved with all electrical CSA approved. Built to CAN/CGA 1.10-M87.
This was imported from Canada and then setup for operation in New Zealand. Some motors were replaced, others have successfully been operating on 400 volts, 3 phase. Inverters have been fitted on both the conveyor motor and the main fan motor to allow for optimizing operation. The gas burners were all replaced when we first commissioned this in 2017. This oven has double skinned flue available, which also includes a dampener to maintain effective oven draft. This oven had a typical cook time of 30 seconds during which time the chips travelled the full length of the 3 decks. It is fitted with IR burners on the top deck to toast the surface of the chip. Oven band is 18” wide.
6. Three (3x) Tier Equilibrating Conveyor approximate length is 5.5m.
Unbranded, mild steel painted construction conveyor. Plastic modular conveyor belt.
Power: 1ph, 230V. Has DC motor with reduction box, variable speed controller.
7. Stainless steel incline transfer conveyor with stainless wirebelt conveyor 500mm wide x approx 2m long. Was used to transfer chips from the oven to the equilibrating conveyor.
Power: 1ph, 230V and has inverter to allow for speed control.
Output of this line is very subjective because there are so many variables. You might have a very thick chip which means you can get high output, you might have a thin chip and an odd shape meaning you don’t get very good layout efficiency and then your output is insanely low. I believe a 250kg an hour output of finished product is reasonable (fried product). Remember everywhere you turn in chip manufacture you are depleting moisture. You start off with 50% moisture after you have ground the corn and you are aiming for 1-3% moisture when you are finished.
The footprint required for the equipment is a length of 25 metres and probably 5 metres width so you can get around the equipment.
