Caterpillar 3406E – 800hp Marine Engine – Rebuildable


Unit has 8688 hours on it. Was removed from owners charter boat
and replaced with New CAT C18 with more HP.

Unit was placed in storage space. Unknown to owner, there was a
small roof leak in storage and unit was slow dripped on for about a
year.

Owner had unit disassembled in order to assess cost to rebuild for
sale. Owner decided to send down to CMP in order to place on
consignment..

Currently CMP is looking into costing to have complete rebuild done
on unit and sell with a warranty. Owner is also open to selling “as is”.
