The Dräger Primus® was developed to be, without exaggeration,
a personal assistant for anesthesiologists.

General management concept
Primus® is based on the same user interface and operating principles as
all Dräger medical devices. This means that, despite the Primus system's complexity,

ICU standard mechanical ventilation
An increasing percentage of critically ill patients in intensive care require new standards
of anesthesia. With the high-speed E-Vent® plus electronic piston ventilator ,
the Primus® system delivers what's needed—peak inspiratory flows comparable to
those provided by intensive care ventilators. A full range of ventilation modes,
including pressure- and volume-controlled modes, pressure support,
and volume-guaranteed ventilation with automatic pressure adjustment,
provides the optimal choice for any clinical situation.
Additional monitoring packages and ventilation modes further expand your options.

Comprehensive monitoring
The Dräger Primus® monitors lung function and ventilation parameters on a large,
configurable 12.1-inch color TFT display. Its open architecture allows for
the installation of additional displays, expanding the monitoring capabilities,
including hemodynamic data and much more.
