Rebuilt Farrel 6” x 6” x 13” Lab Mill

Mill to be cabinet design with the motor mounted beneath the mill within the cabinet base.

END FRAMES: Heavy duty cast cabinet

ROLLS: 6” diameter x 13” face, smooth hollow chamber design. Roll bodies are chrome plated

COOLING OF ROLLS – NEW Dublin roller bearing rotary joints good for steam, water or hot oil service

BEARINGS: Full circle bronze journal liners machined with lubricant well machined on non-pressure side with inboard

seals. Bearing boxes to be fitted with Adjustable Positive Stops set at .025 to prevent rolls from touching

LUBRICATION: Automatic grease lubricators tubed to eachbearing

CONNECTING GEARS: NEW 21/27 tooth, 4DP, 3-1/2” face connecting gears rendering a 1.28:1 friction ratio or to suit customer’s requirements


BATCH GUIDES: Split and adjustable type

ROLL ADJUSTMENT: Manual roll adjustment via adjusting bar to be provided. NEW dials and nip set point indicators

SAFETIES: Knee safeties mounted front and rear and either overhead cable safety with Allen Bradley Lifeline 4 Manual

Reset Switch or overhead cradle safety mounted and wired. Cabinet base is designed to insure 50” code height floor to top of operating roll.

MOTOR & DRIVE: One (1) NEW 7.5 HP 440 VAC gear-head motor with Stearns brake and belt drive.

STARTER: NEMA size 1, 440 VAC full voltage reversing starter. Mounted within cabinet, complete with push button controls, prewired and tested at our plant

Base to beleveled via (4) #2 Royal mounts with leveling screws

Mill will be finished with (1) coating of primer and (2) coatings of pain. Color to be safety blue or customers specifications.
