ÄKTA start is a compact and straightforward solution
for fast and reliable protein purification.
It is a simple and modern system that automates
the protein purification workflow
by offering features such as automated sample injection,
fraction collection, and real-time monitoring.
Method templates are available
for all common chromatography techniques,
such as affinity chromatography,
ion exchange chromatography, gel filtration,
and desalting. Fast start methods
for the purification of several common proteins are also available.
Predefined system methods are available
for flow path purification.
ÄKTA start is operated via a touchscreen on the instrument.
In addition, the system can be operated from
a computer connected to the instrument
using the UNICORN start software.
ÄKTA start is offered with a dedicated fraction collector,
Frac30, which enables the collection of fractions
in four different tube formats.
