The GE LightSpeed Ultra 8-Slice CT System is a third-generation multi-slice CT scanner
that offers a significant leap in performance from its predecessors.
This system is designed for both speed and image quality, capable of
acquiring eight slices per rotation with a fast gantry rotation time of as
low as 0.5 seconds. Its advanced HiLight solid-state detector and
6.3 MHU X-ray tube ensure high-resolution images with excellent clarity and contrast.
With a suite of dose-reducing features, known as OptiDose, and a user-friendly console,
the LightSpeed Ultra streamlines workflow, reduces scan times,
and enhances patient comfort. It is a versatile workhorse, suitable for a full range of
CT exams, including cardiovascular, neurological, orthopedic, and oncology studies.
