Refurbished GE SIGNA Artist 1.5T —
GE Healthcare's premium current-generation 70 cm wide-bore 1.5T MRI,
sitting at the top of the SIGNA 1.5T family alongside the newer SIGNA Champion
and SIGNA Sprint. Combines a 1.5T zero-boil-off superconducting magnet,
a 70 cm patient bore, ~33 mT/m gradient amplitude with ~120 T/m/s slew rate,
up to ~48 independent RF channels, and the AIR Coil family of lightweight blanket-style flexible surface coils.
The Total Digital Imaging (TDI) receive chain, Direct Digital Interface (DDI),
and Digital Micro Switching (DMS) coil technology together push more SNR through the system
and reduce coil-handling overhead in clinical workflow.
Clinical scope spans neuro (including DTI, MRS, BOLD), MSK, body, breast, vascular, oncology,
and pediatric imaging at flagship-1.5T performance. Compared to an Optima MR450w,
the SIGNA Artist brings a markedly newer software platform, AIR Coil ergonomics,
and a meaningfully higher digital receive ceiling.
Compared to a 3T SIGNA Architect/Premier, it gives up flagship 3T physics in exchange for
lower siting/operating cost. MIS handles sourcing, refurbishment, deinstall, magnet logistics,
install, applications training, parts, and engineer-led service. Photo coming soon —
image shown is the related SIGNA Artist Evo upgrade chassis pending a dedicated SIGNA Artist install photo.
