Refurbished GE Signa Excite HDxt 1.5T —
GE Healthcare's workhorse 1.5T 60 cm bore platform from
the HDxt era, built on the CXK4 short-bore zero-boil-off magnet
and the 16x HDxt software level with a 16-channel RF architecture.
Pairs HDxt Echospeed gradients (33 mT/m amplitude, 120 T/m/s slew rate)
with a full GE coil ecosystem — head, CTL spine, body, and GP Flex coils covering anterior,
spine, torso, knee, shoulder array, wrist, neurovascular, and TMJ —
to deliver the standard 1.5T clinical workload at a value price point.
Typical buyers are outpatient imaging centers, community hospitals,
mobile MRI trailers, and international markets that need reliable neuro,
MSK, body, breast, vascular, and pediatric imaging without the capital and
helium burden of a 3T or current-generation SIGNA platform.
Compared to the Optima MR450w 1.5T, the Signa HDxt gives up the 70 cm
wide-bore comfort and Discovery-era workflow in exchange for a meaningfully lower
acquisition cost. Compared to the current SIGNA Explorer or SIGNA Creator 1.5T,
the HDxt runs an older console and software stack, but ships with a mature parts pipeline
and a decade-plus of GE field-service experience behind it — which makes it one of
the most economical entry points into a clinically capable 1.5T MRI program.
As a GE-trained, engineer-led refurbisher, MIS handles sourcing, refurbishment,
deinstall, magnet ramp-down, transport, ramp-up, install, applications training,
parts inventory, and lifetime engineer-led service.
