Description:.
The Rocket Evaporator is designed to dry
or concentrate up to six 450ml bottles or 18 ASE® tubes.
The user can concentrate on other tasks,
knowing that the Rocket will always deliver perfect and reproducible results.
The Rocket Evaporator is designed
with the advanced performance features expected by Genevac users,
such as effective protection against spills
and cross-contamination,
precise temperature control and very easy to use controls.
The Rocket Evaporator has a built-in,
two-stage cold trap that provides a very high level of solvent recovery,
even with volatile organic solvents.
The cold trap empties automatically
under the control of the evaporator to ensure
that optimal solvent recovery is maintained
regardless of which solvent mixture is used.
The Rocket Evaporator can be used either to completely dry samples or to concentrate them to a small volume.
Several options are available to achieve the best results in the desired sample format:
1) Evaporation bottles:
These are used to dry or concentrate samples
- if dried, the samples must be redissolved
and then removed by pipette. Volume: 450ml.
2) SampleGenie™ bottles: They are suitable for a wide range of vessels,
from 12mm to 28mm diameter and up to 70mm height.
The SampleGenie system allows the sample
to be dried directly into the storage vessel.
Volume: 250ml (plus vessel).
3) SampleGenie™ for GC vessels:
This is specifically designed for concentration in GC autosampler vessels.
This special version of SampleGenie insulates
the vessel so that only the solvent in the bottle evaporates,
leaving a small volume in the vessel.
4) Puck for ASE® Tubes:
The puck insert replaces the bottles and allows
up to 18 ASE® tubes to be evaporated simultaneously.
5) Flip-Flop System: Samples are collected directly
from the extraction system into the special double-ended tube.
A SampleGenie adapter with GC vessel is then attached.
The tube is flipped over and placed
in the puck in the Rocket Evaporator and the lid removed.
Samples are then concentrated directly
into the GC vessel.
