CNC drilling machine
The machine's concept is incredibly simple.
The workpiece is inserted into the machine. A quickly adjustable stop with pneumatic locking centers the workpiece in the machine.
After pressing a foot switch, the workpiece is pneumatically clamped and automatically conveyed to the drilling unit (30 m/min).
The vertical spindles drill from below, so that the resulting chips do not remain on the workpiece as in a machining center.
The horizontal spindles operate on two sides of the workpiece.
The workpiece can be of any length, as the workpiece is guided to the drilling unit (= X-axis).
The workpiece width varies between 600 and 1000 mm, depending on the model.
The drilling spindles are freely programmable individually or as a block and move along the Y-axis.
The drilling depth and the horizontal drills are controlled by the Z-axis.
After all drilling operations have been completed, the workpiece is conveyed back to the infeed side or, if desired, to the outfeed side.
While conventional machining centers clamp the workpiece with vacuum and require the vacuum clamps to be adjusted
to the workpiece size, this step is completely eliminated with the 3-axis controlled point-to-point drilling machine.
