The Hitachi S-2400 is a high resolution scanning electron microscope. It is equipped with Link Isis energy dispersive X- Ray analyser for quantitative and qualitative analysis. It has an ATW atmospheric thin window allowing detection of elements upwards from beryllium and a backscattered electron detector. There is a digital image collection facility attached to this microscope with zip drive storage.
