MSV (Multi-Slice View or multislicing) is the ability to simultaneously view
multiple slices obtained during three-dimensional scanning on the screen;
VolumeCT is a three-dimensional reconstruction of images in the form of
a cube (Cube Sectional View) or three intersecting planes (Cross View);
Cardiology examination package:
M-mode: measurement of aortic diameter, anteroposterior size of the LA,
thickness of the interventricular septum (systolic and diastolic), thickness
of the left ventricular wall (systolic and diastolic),
sizes of the left ventricle and right ventricle (systolic and diastolic),
ejection fraction (Teichholz).
B-mode: measurement of the aortic diameter (ascending, arch, descending, at the level of the sinuses of Valsalva, at the level of the
aortic valve leaflets), determination of the LA and RA sizes
(maximum, minimum, systolic, diastolic, anterior-posterior,
superior-inferior, medial-lateral), calculation of the LA and RA volumes,
LV volumes (Area-Length method, disk method (Simpson)),
LV myocardial mass, LV myocardial mass index.
CD mode (CDK): measurement of the PISA radius,
semi-quantitative assessment of transmitral, transtricuspid,
transaortic and transpulmonary blood flow (regurgitation assessment),
assessment of abnormal blood shunts through the interatrial septum
and interventricular septum.
PW mode (pulse-wave Doppler): automatic, semi-automatic and
manual tracing of the Doppler spectrum of the mitral, aortic and
tricuspid valves, the pulmonary valve, blood flow in the LV and
RV outflow tract (peak/mean velocity, peak/mean pressure gradient,
LV isovolumetric relaxation time, acceleration, deceleration, ejection time),
assessment of blood flow in the pulmonary and hepatic veins.
