The VPLPX40 SuperBright LCD Data Projector is a flexible and powerful unit which
can be used in many applications. Outputting 3500 ANSI Lumens, it is bright enough
to light up very large screens while the high contrast ratio ensures crisp and detailed images.
It features native XGA resolution, the ability to be tilted up or down by 90 degrees,
TCP/IP network control, a unique password authentication system, a laser pointer remote
control and can be fitted with optional lenses for applications which require a shorter or
longer throw distance.

• The VPL-PX40 has enough brightness to fill large screens so that very large audiences can see your
message and videos.
• The newly designed LCD panels in the VPL-PX40 are 1024 pixels by 768 pixels (XGA) so that high
resolution graphics from computers will be displayed with vivid detail and clarity.
• Contrast ratio measures the difference between the brightest and darkest that a projector can display,
and it is often more important than brightness. The VPL-PX40 has very high contrast so that images will
be dynamic and captivating.
• The VPL-PX40 has a user selectable feature which allows the projector's use to be password protected.
Once set, no one can turn the projector on until the proper password has been entered. Make sure to register
your projector with Sony for the best protection!
• The VPL-PX40 can be tilted up, or down, up to 90 degrees. This is ideal for rear screen applications where
space is at a premium and for applications where HoloScreens will be used.
• Many projectors need a cool down period or the expensive projector lamp may be damaged. This cool down
period must be initiated by manual intervention or via an expensive control system. However, the VPL-PX40
can be connected to a simple wall switch for the purposes of powering the unit on and off. This means that
there is no need for expensive control systems to correctly cycle unit power.
• The VPL-PX40 is equipped with a user friendly remote control that features a laser pointer and computer
mouse control. Using it and the USB port, presenters can be free to move about the room while making
their presentation.
• Functions such as power on and off can be accomplished via a LAN connection, providing integrators
with yet another way to control the powerful VPL-PX40.
• The VPL-PX40 can be equipped with an optional short throw or long throw lens.
