Thermo Scientific Nanodrop 8000

The Thermo Scientific NanoDrop 8000 is a microvolume UV-Vis spectrophotometer designed
for high-throughput analysis of nucleic acids, proteins, and other samples.
It measures up to 8 samples simultaneously using only 1–2 μL per sample (no cuvettes or dilutions needed
for most concentrations), making it ideal for labs requiring fast, accurate quantification and purity assessment.

Multi-Sample Capability: Analyzes up to 8 individual 1 μL samples in a single measurement cycle (~20 seconds or less) using an 8-channel pedestal system and multi-channel pipettor.
Ultra-Low Sample Volume: Requires only 1–2 μL per sample with patented sample retention technology
(surface tension holds the sample column between pedestals).
Wide Wavelength Range: Full-spectrum 220–750 nm with ≤3 nm resolution (FWHM at Hg 546.1 nm) and ±1 nm accuracy; uses a Xenon flash lamp and 2048-element linear silicon CCD detector.
High Concentration Range Without Dilution: Measures dsDNA up to ~3700 ng/μL
(auto-switches between 0.2 mm and 1.0 mm pathlengths).
Easy & Versatile Operation: Pre-configured applications for nucleic acids, proteins, etc.;
direct measurements from tubes or 96-well plates; runs on Windows PCs with user-friendly software.
