The Tomey EM-4000 by Tomey Corporation is a
non-contact specular microscope designed for
high-precision corneal endothelium analysis.
Thanks to advanced technologies such as auto-alignment and automatic measurement,
it enables fast and highly reproducible acquisitions, with examination times of
just a few seconds per eye. The system also integrates non-contact pachymetry,
allowing measurement of corneal thickness alongside the evaluation of
endothelial cell density, providing a comprehensive diagnostic overview.
From a functional perspective, the device offers automatic endothelial cell analysis
with advanced parameters such as cell density, polymegethism, and pleomorphism,
which are essential for detecting early corneal alterations. The ability to
capture images in up to 13 measurement areas and the use of
advanced analytical methods (such as the L-count and Core method)
ensure accurate and detailed results. The touchscreen interface and
integrated database improve data management and clinical workflow,
