The Tomey OA-2000 is an advanced optical biometer and topographer-keratometer designed
to offer high-precision biometric measurements in cataract surgery planning and
IOL (intraocular lens) calculation. Using Fourier-domain technology and optical low coherence interferometry,
the device enables fast and accurate measurements of axial length, anterior chamber depth (ACD),
lens thickness, pachymetry, keratometry, pupil diameter and white-to-white in a single automatic acquisition.
The system also integrates Placido-disc corneal topography, improving corneal surface assessment
and surgical precision in refractive and cataractic procedures
Operationally, the OA-2000 features auto-alignment, auto-tracking and 3D eye tracking functions
that optimise the clinical workflow and reduce examination time. The ability to perform high-speed scans
with high penetration also enables reliable measurements even in the presence of dense cataracts.
The system supports advanced formulas for IOL calculation and integration with Tomey platforms dedicated
to ophthalmic diagnostics, offering a combination of automation, reliability and diagnostic accuracy
that is particularly appreciated in modern surgical and ophthalmology centres.
