The ZEISS CLARUS 500 is a next-generation ultra-widefield retinal camera designed
for high-resolution fundus imaging. This system stands out for its ability to
capture images with true color, highly faithful to clinical visualization,
and with an ultra-wide field of view (up to over 200°), enabling detailed observation
from the macula to the retinal periphery. Thanks to ZEISS optics and a resolution of
up to approximately 7 microns, it allows for more accurate diagnosis of ocular diseases,
including early signs often located in the peripheral areas of the retina.

From a functional standpoint, the device integrates multiple acquisition modalities,
including fundus autofluorescence (FAF), infrared (IR), and imaging in
separate RGB channels, enhancing contrast and retinal layer analysis.
Additionally, it is designed to ensure patient comfort and ease of
use through automated features and an ergonomic system that
reduces the need for repeated exams. This combination of clarity,
diagnostic precision, and comfort makes the CLARUS 500 an
advanced tool for screening and monitoring eye diseases over time.
