The Zeiss OPMI Lumera is a surgical microscope for use in the field of Ophthalmology.
Developed by Carl Zeiss Meditec with the needs of surgeons in mind,
the Lumera is equipped with revolutionary Carl Zeiss optical technology,
new ergonomic and innovative features, and the Stereo Coaxial Illumination (SCI)
to deliver crisp, clear, and high-resolution images which
make the operating microscope perfectly-suited
for basic and complex surgical procedures such as cataract and retinal surgery.
The SCI technology enables the user to view a patient's eye with clarity
and detail never before achieved in the field of Ophthalmology.
The SCI offers unparalleled stability, brightness, and contrast of the red reflex even
with pigmented, decentered and ametropic eyes.
The integral Superlux Eye xenon illumination enables the users to view the anatomy
of the eye in natural color and more accurate detail.
The surgical microscope is also equipped with a HaMode filter that allows surgeons
to quickly switch from light spectrum equivalent to halogen.
The Lumera can also be provided with an integrated assistant's microscope that can
be controlled independently and allows a second surgeon
to actively participate in a procedure. It can also be equipped
with the optional Invertertube which allows switching
for switching between cataract and retinal procedures.
The Lumera is compatible with the S88 floor stand, the S8 ceiling mount,
and the S81 ceiling mount.
It can also be equipped with MediLive MindStream, FlexioStill Adapter,
Tiltable tube for flexible viewing, VISULUX motorized fiber slit illuminator,
and the MediLive Trio Eye technology.
