The Canon Xephilio OCT-S1 is an advanced Swept-Source
optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) system designed to
deliver ultra-wide-field, high-resolution retinal imaging in
a single acquisition. Thanks to the 1060 nm Swept Source technology
and the speed of 100,000 A-scans per second, the device allows scans
up to 23 x 20 mm with imaging depths up to 5.3 mm,
enabling detailed visualisation of the retina, choroid, vitreous
and sclera even in the presence of cataracts or ocular opacities.
The system also integrates OCT Angiography (OCTA),
AI-based Intelligent Denoise technology,
real-time retinal tracking SLO and panoramic imaging up
to 31 x 27 mm, improving the diagnostic quality and
assessment of retinal and vascular pathologies.

From an operational point of view, the Xephilio OCT-S1 stands out for
its high level of automation thanks to auto alignment, auto focus,
auto tracking and AI optimisation functions, which optimise the
clinical workflow and reduce acquisition times.
The ability to obtain ultra-widefield images in
a single scan enables a more comprehensive evaluation
of pathologies such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions,
glaucoma and macular degeneration.
The combination of speed, scan depth, advanced OCTA and
ultra-widefield imaging makes the Canon Xephilio OCT-S1 one
of the most advanced OCT platforms for modern ophthalmic diagnostics.
