Essilor Ultimate M30 Kappa
EUROPE (Western and Northern)
Essilor Ultimate M30 Kappa lens grinder with all accessories: water pump, hose, and cables.
The Kappa features the latest frame tracing technology.
The new 4D tracing software enables the most precise frame tracing and lens mapping.
The unique 4D capability includes exclusive frame groove measurement.
The enhanced software simplifies lens processing, including finishing small and large lenses.
The new patented flexible spindle beveling accommodates all lens sizes, including small diameter lenses up to 24 millimeters.
Automatic iris groove profile probing ensures highly accurate sizing, reduces breakage, and increases quality.
Tracing, blocking, and edging functions are fully integrated.
Digital tracing data is transmitted electronically from one station to the next as the lens is processed, reducing errors.
As production demand increases, up to five Kappa or Gamma tracers can be connected to a single Kappa tracer/blocker, further increasing efficiency.
The Kappa automatically positions the stylus in the frame and traces both eyes in less than 20 seconds.
After tracing, the lens is placed in the blocker. A video camera captures and displays a parallax-free image of the lens, along with the frame shape. The operator aligns the lens and verifies the cut.
The Kappa offers six automatic and controlled bevel options, as well as lens grooving.
In the Kappa, sensors map the contours of both surfaces to determine the lens curvature, edge thickness, and to calculate the ideal bevel or groove placement. Once the lens mapping is complete, a 3D representation of the finished bevel or groove is displayed on the screen, allowing the user to visualize its position.
Positioning can be automatic, or adjustments can be made manually.
Three groove widths are available for optimal fit. Kappa utilizes advanced groove design and computer control to precisely locate grooves on even the thinnest lenses. Additionally, operators can probe the contour of the eyewire groove. The probe records the eyewire groove profile, and the Kappa automatically adjusts the lens size. Measuring the eyewire grooves eliminates the need to recut and remake oversized lenses for a proper fit.
The Kappa ULTIMATE M30 is a revolution in edge-matching technology. This fully automatic lensmeter/frame-matching/frame-matching system maps the flattest and most curved frames currently available. The unit recognizes the lens type and uses distribution information to automatically rotate the locking knob and secure the lens.
The internal camera will even take a picture of your frameless dummy lens so that the holes and slots can be copied precisely.
The plotter integrates grooving, chamfering, drilling, and slotting into a single compact component.
