FMC SC-120 Corn Cutter

Corn Cutter provides maximum product recovery, high yield,
low maintenance, and automatic removal of corn from the cob at high speed.
Each ear is placed on the feed chain, point end first.
The stainless chain moves the corn cob towards the feed rolls.
Two sets of feed rolls align the ear of corn with the cutter head
and move the ear toward the knives.
The cutting knives are automatically opened to cut
by the feed roll metering system.
Kernels fall through the cut corn opening onto the customer's produce conveyor,
while the cob continues through the head and is unloaded
onto a to-go conveyor. A spray of water is directed at the cut area
of corn to minimize starch buildup. Related market: fruits, nuts,
