Complete line with transformer and spare parts:
Used 34mm Leistritz co-rotating twin screw extruder/
volumetric feeder/die/pelletizer, extruder model LSM 30.34 GL.
Has a 33:1 L/D, 8-barrel sections, 2-vents, zones cooled via blower fans,
comes with complete set of screws plus a back-up set.
Many spare parts, including the transformer which is a 480 v – 220/380v.
Machine still in use daily, used primarily in processing Polyethylene with
low levels of additives, very little masterbatch production.
Extruder is in good condition; pelletizer components are aging and
will require work eventually.
Could easily be replaced with a strand pelletizer.
Extruder driven by 11kW, 2200 rpm DC motor, 380 volt AC input,
3 phase with neutral wire, 390 rpm max screw speed.

Unit utilized in a clean lab environment and not production.
Usage is 24,020 hours. This counter is not wrapped.

Line will not be available until other area changes are complete, expected in August.

Major maintenance history:
Screw elements and shafts replaced in 2016 along with 3-barrel sections. Condition good. Minor wear.
Older screw elements and shafts available with machine.
Can be used as a back-up.
Gear box replaced in 2023 with a used unit.
Old gear box available for repair/parts.
Extruder Motor and drive rebuilt in 2022.
Original control computer control replaced with reliable,
maintenance friendly Omron temperature controls and speed pots.
Spare parts – Multiple minor components and some major:
Old gear box needing repair, 1 extra extruder Motor, Relays, Contactors,
Fuses, select spare elements, pellet cutter blades,
heaters for all extruder zones, used set of screws with elements (back up).

Unit is still in use until late july.
