Cone Winding Automatic SKW 923 With Gripper Spindle
Feeding: The paper is fed from the roll.
Printing: Max printing width of approx. 320mm.
Grinding: Paper is ground from initial to final seam. The 2 grinding apparatuses are operated by air-pistons, so that they may be easily changed over to different cone sizes. Thus the cone will not show faintest steps - which guarantees a constant and true running of the cone.
Cutting: Paper is cut to corresponding size by straight knives on cutting device.
Winding: On the cone winding station the cut-to-size sheet is wound to a cone on a gripper spindle. The glue coming from glue pump, is applied via nozzle pipes and equally distributed by rotating brush. During winding procedure, cone is cut to exact length on base and top, stripped off the spindle and transported towards Drier. The both side waste removal is effected automatically.

Construction: The stable, closed profile iron construction with thick walls and triplicate glued isolating plates guarantees good heat insulation and less heat losses.
Working Method:
The drier is driven by an infinitely variable gear and operated independently form winding. Thus you obtain an equal drying of cones, even if cone winding and finishing are set idle for re-adjustment or if they are operated separately.
Coming from winding, the cones are running via cone transport towards Drier and are automatically put onto chain pins. The continuous operation of cone transport chain reduces chain load to a minimum and ensures quiet running.
The drier chain is running slightly inclined, thus no guides are necessary for cones in longitudinal direction. All chain wheels are filled with heat resistant ball bearing grease, thus a continuous and good lubrication is guaranteed.
The tension of the cone transport chain is automatically regulated by self-acting chain adjusters. Pins of transport chain are coated with synthetic material, which is glue repellant. During whole passing time, cones are kept individually on these pins and are flowed around by hot air.
The drier can be heated by electric power, steam of any other medium.
Driers equipped with power and steam heating units can be easily switched from one mode to another.

Automatic Cone Finishing SVK 300
Working Method: The automatically fed cones are oiled at their ends upon transmission, and are then conveyed to the individual working stations.
Cutting: In order to achieve a good and centrical curling of the tops, cones are pushed onto counter-acting mandrils. The curling dies are operated by exactly
adjustable toggle- levers and can be re-adjusted by means of precise adjustment during operation. The drive by separate motors guarantees a vibration free operation.
Polishing: On this station cone base is polished and curled top re-polished. Punching: The apparatus, by which the punching-out at cone base (triangle, semi-
circular) is done, has been designed in the way, that the die does not leave matrix. Grooving: Optional.
Nesting: On the nesting device, cones are nested to bars upto 1 m length and then tipped into containers.

Air Plant
Working Method:
Pressed air supply is either done from a central unit, this means from a network, available in your factory, or from a compressor, the efficiency of which corresponds with the machine requirements.
The pressed air is led via a water trap towards storage container, from there via filter and oiler towards the user's points (air piston and spindles). Generally, this machine operates with a pressure of 6 bar, indicated at manometer above pressure container. Compressed air volume = 1400 l/min.
Pressure container includes an automatic draining device for the condensation water, being then automatically diverted.
Internal Movement of Cones
Cone feeding from winding machine to drier:
The sleeves ejected from the winding machine are automatically pushed onto the drier pins by the cone feed.
The cone feed is fitted to the winding machine and the drier and is driven by a separate gear motor. The cone feed is controlled by a photocell unit on the feed as well as cams and limit switch on the drive shaft of the drier. Care should be taken that light source and photocell are arranged in line so that the beam hits the middle of the optical eye in the photocell unit. The control elements are located in the control box and the on/off switch on the drier control box.
Cone feeding from winding machine to drier:
The sleeves coming from the drier are seized by the 2 cone feeds 1 and 2 which automatically convey them to the finishing machine.
DEMANDS ON SITE
•Machine should be set up on a floor, free from vibrations.
•If floor not plain, equalise it by smooth cement finish.
•Dust suction with a volume flow of 0.986 m3/sec.
•Choose place to set up machine this way, that feed transport for raw material and off-transport for finished product can
easily be reached.
•Also take care that distance between front side of machine to next following machine or wall is approximately 1m in order to
guarantee easy accessibility for adjustment.
•Upon arrival, check machine as to eventual transport, damages and clean it from preservative and grease. •In case machine must be transported by crane, suspend it by the provided ring bolts at table plate.
