The Canon Xephilio OCT-A1 is a high-resolution optical coherence tomograph (OCT)
designed for the diagnosis and monitoring of retinal and optic nerve pathologies.
With a digital resolution of up to 1.6 μm and an optical resolution of approximately 3 μm,
it allows extremely detailed visualisation of the different layers of the retina,
facilitating the identification of even very subtle structural changes.
The acquisition speed of 70,000 A-scans per second allows high-definition images to
be obtained in a few seconds, reducing artefacts due to eye movements and
improving patient comfort during the examination.
The system incorporates numerous automatic functions that simplify the clinical workflow,
includingautomatic alignment, real-time retinal tracking and eye movement compensation.
The examination can be performed in a highly intuitive procedure, requiring only a
few clicks to acquire complete and reproducible scans. In addition, dedicated modes forchoroid
and vitreousanalysis, combined with the ability to take wide scans up to 13 mm,
make the Xephilio OCT-A1 a versatile, reliable and particularly suitable instrument
for ophthalmic practices, clinics and specialist centres that
require high diagnostic quality and efficient patient management.
