Lyco Vapor Flow Hot Water/Steam Blancher

Designed to use both hot water or steam to cook products
such as Dry Beans, Corn, Green Beans, Peas,
Kale, Spinach, Cauliflower, Broccoli and Peppers.
Originally developed to reduce the water content being transferred
to the IQF freezer from the water blanching process.
By utilizing steam the rotary blancher reduces steam
consumption therefore reducing overall energy use
in the process. Recovery is also improved
by not leaching solids and valuable nutrient content
from the product being blanched.
The product is feed through a chute or channel witch is
then transferred to the drum witch evenly feeds
the product through the drum.
The drum has perforated screens and access doors
witch allow for easy sanitation and service of
the interior drum.
The drum is accessed by a tilting hood
witch is pneumatically controlled.
This unit has the option to run as a steam blancher
or hot water rotary reel blancher
