Tummers Sliver Remover
EUROPE (Western and Northern)
Including automatic lubrication.
A sliver remover is a machine used in the food processing
industry to remove small, thin pieces
(slivers) of cut vegetables and fruit to be separated
from the main product.
This is done by passing the products over
adjustable rollers to let go; the slivers fall down
between the rollers, while the larger pieces
are allowed to pass. It is an efficient method of sorting
and quality control, which is also used to sort other
to remove unwanted parts such as twigs and leaves.
* Functionality: The machine separates products based on size by using a series of parallel,
adjustable rollers.
* Adjustability: The distance between the rollers can be adjusted, allowing the machine to be set up precisely
to allow the desired product to pass through and remove the slivers.
* Applications: Mainly used for potato products such as fries, but also for carrots, peaches and
other fruits and vegetables.
* Other functions: Can also be used to remove other unwanted particles such as twigs and leaves (also
also called "fines").
